Flight Delays

Welcome to the Bridge to Bulgaria Blog! An update from the team:

Despite leaving Greenville, NC, at 12:30 PM yesterday, the team was still stuck at the Raleigh/Durham Airport at 9PM last night. They finally arrived in Frankfurt, Germany, today but will be stuck there, unable to travel to Sofia, Bulgaria until 6:40 PM tonight. So, it's slow going, but the team is certainly covered in our prayers.

Would you like to leave an encouraging note to the team? You can. Right here. Click on the word, "Comments" at the end of this entry. Then, follow the directions. We encourage as many people as possible to leave scripture, prayers, hellos, or any other words of encouragement to the team. They will be able to view your messages daily and they'll leave pictures and journal entries detailing the physical, relational, and spiritual progress of the trip.

Is this your first time visiting the blog? Check out the first entry (below this one) detailing the purpose of the trip and pictures of the team's destination. Pictures of each team member appear to the right of this page. Click on the "Read About Bulgaria" link to check daily weather conditions, currency exchange rates, or other information of interest about Bulgaria. Not sure how to leave a comment for the team? Click on the word "comments" after the first entry. The first comment there gives specific instructions. Again, feel free to leave your prayers and any encouragement for our travel-weary Bulgaria team members.

Update from the Bulgarian 1st Team - we made it! The 6:40 flight was delayed until 9:00 pm so we arrive in Sofia at 1:00 AM to 3 lost bags(Carley's, Amy's and April's). We dropped everyone, one by one, and slept from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM and will start work this afternoon (so only 1/2 day off task :)). Pray that our luggage arrives today. I will call soon to check the status. Team is in great spirits and excited to be here. We all send our love. More later....
