Pastor George Michailov and Mike Danielson - it took about three takes to get this photo - they wouldn't be serious. Pastor George shared with the team that our team coming here has sparked his own congregation and building fund pledges to complete the project were at an all time high and other donations for the youth area and particular projects had been received.
You can't see it from this picture but Associate Pastor Svetly had just shown us his hilarious rendition of a ballet dance. Svetly is quite the jokester but a man after God's own heart!
On the left in this photo is Tosco. He was the construction supervisor and our van driver to and from the airport. He is a quiet man, a recent widower, and a servant of Jesus. After our late arrival to Lovech (5:00 AM) on Monday morning, Tosco never slept and went straight to work at the building site. We are not sure if he has stopped since :) (That's cement dust flying around in that picture !)
A photo of Meloni and April Stamper clowning for the camera. Meloni Adams is our American connecion to Bulgaria and Lovech. She went to high school with Scott Griffin (Team # 2) and has been living in Bulgaria working for MTEE and with George's church for about 10 years. She has shown us great hospitality and has made sure that we have had breakfast and lunch on site - wonderful Bulgarian homemade meals - and showed us great restaurants in the evening. She has arranged transportation and worked with Svetly to arrange other ministry opportunities. She is Amy and Rebecca's hostess for both weeks. She is amazing!
