Mike Danielson called from Sofia this morning to tell us they were eating some breakfast at the airport after a little scare and were boarding soon. One of the cabs (with Rob and Jan) broke down on the way to the airport. Another one was sent and they made it on time but there was a tense few minutes for the part of the team waiting at the airport. I sensed the nervousness in Mike's voice after our "fun" trip over here so we stopped and prayed over the phone for peace and for safe and uncomplicated travel.
Mike called again when they arrived in Vienna, Austria and were minutes before boarding the flight for the United States. So far, no delays. Next stop - Washington, DC (Dulles) and U.S. soil.
As I get updates on the arrival of team 2 - I'll be sure to post.

Hello from team 2. Thanks to Mike, Terry recieved a "wake-up" call @ about 4:30am from Austria indicating they were on the way back and hoped we have safe travels. Although he didn't wake me up, I shared his message with the team once we gathered. So far, so good. Everything seems to be on schedule. First flight was on-time and now awaiting departure to Munich. Thanks to Trudy Halstead for our speakerphone prayer as we made out way to Raleigh.
